Privacy Policy

This isn’t a template. It describes exactly what V-Host actually collects today and nothing more. If that changes, this page changes with it.

Who this is

V-Host is operated by Virdana, a Hungarian sole proprietorship. For anything on this page, questions, corrections, or deletion requests, reach out at info@virdana.dev.

What we collect

When you reserve a spot: your name, your Discord handle, and which pricing tier you’re interested in, stored in our own database. That’s all we collect directly.

Reserving a spot also means paying a €5 refundable deposit, processed by Stripe. Your payment details (card number, billing address) go straight to Stripe’s own hosted checkout page, and we never see or store them. What we get back from Stripe is a payment reference we use to confirm and, if needed, refund your deposit, nothing more.

We also run self-hosted, cookie-less website analytics (Umami, on Virdana’s own infrastructure at analytics.virdana.dev): aggregate page views, referrers, and general device/browser info, not tied to your name or anything else you submit on this site. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no individually identifying data. We don’t use any other cookies or tracking scripts beyond this.

Why we collect it

To hold your reservation, process and (if applicable) refund your deposit, and, if you become a customer, to set up and run your server. Reserving a spot is how you tell us you’re okay with that.

How it’s handled

Reservation details are stored in our own database, not relayed through a third-party messaging platform. Stripe is the one third party involved in reservations, solely as the payment processor for the deposit, see Stripe’s own privacy policy for what they collect directly. The analytics above run on Virdana’s own infrastructure, not a third-party analytics vendor. We don’t sell, rent, or otherwise share what you submit.

How long we keep it

As long as it’s useful for responding to you, holding your reservation, or running your service, and no longer than that once you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You can ask what we have on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time, by emailing info@virdana.dev. Since there’s no account system, that email is also the only way to exercise these rights. There’s no self-serve dashboard for it yet.

Children

This service isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone below the age required to consent to data processing in their country. If you believe a minor submitted information to us, email us and we’ll remove it.

Changes

This page will be updated as the product changes, for example if self-serve signup gets added later. The date at the top always reflects the last real change.

This policy was written in plain language by the person who runs V-Host, in good faith and to the best of our understanding of GDPR as a small EU-based operator. It isn’t a substitute for professional legal advice, and hasn’t been reviewed by a lawyer. We’ll get that review done as the business grows past this early stage.
